Cotswold Holiday Cottages: Kermit Cottage, Near Chipping
Campden
Sleeps 4 - Property No: C0108
With stunning countryside all around creating an idyllic atmosphere, this charming holiday cottage perfect for a small family, has been carefully converted from a period Grade II listed Cotswold stone barn. Retaining much character with exposed timbers & flagstone floors, lovely fabrics and comfy sofas combine with modern equipment to make your stay here a relaxing and enjoyable one.
The cottage is next door to Sophie and set within a large walled in garden, mainly laid to lawn (newly laid) and ideal to eat outside on a sunny day. A few yards away is another large communal area of lawn (see Poppy & Clover) for your use should you wish to barbecue or picnic making this an ideal place to bring children, with pet hens, chicks and horses to see.
Within a five minute’s drive are Chipping Campden, Hidcote Gardens, Mickleton (home of the Three Ways’ Pudding Club). Shakespeare’s Stratford on Avon is an easy 20 minutes drive away. Here you can enjoy a boat ride, visit Shakespeare’s birthplace, take in a play or browse the shops.
The Cotswold Wildlife Park near Burford is a wonderful day out for the whole family; younger ones love to touch the animals at the Cotswold Farm Park at Temple Guiting with its rare breeds of sheep and cattle and listen to talks and watch displays. But if you prefer not to travel too much, Kermit (named after the owner’s pony) is a great little hideaway for the whole family and if you simply just want to enjoy some fresh Cotswold air or read a book.
