This cosy barn conversion is situated within the lovely grounds of Lower Farm Cottages (see also Toad Hall & Ratty’s Retreat.) 

Exposed timbers, Cotswold stone walls and large mullion windows add character to the property while French doors opening out onto a pleasant terraced garden create a light and airy feel. The cottage is very comfortably furnished and has the benefit of a ground floor bathroom and twin bedroom ideal for those who cannot manage steep staircases while a spiral staircase leads up to a galleried landing and double bedroom with vanity unit.

Guests can enjoy a drink or meal outside on the private terrace of the cottage but also have use of the communal lawned area where they can sit and enjoy a picnic by the mill stream and watch the antics of the resident ducks.

The village is built into a valley and surrounded by stunning scenery with many footpaths (some hilly) leading in all directions. Walkers will be able to try a new route every day. The Cotswolds area is well known for its excellent places to eat out. Blockley itself has 2 pubs and a restaurant. A 10 minute drive brings you to nearby Chipping Campden or Moreton in Marsh and their wide variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and hotels.

Within easy reach of the cottage are Hidcote Gardens, Batsford Arboretum & Falconry Centre, Bourton on the Water with its many attractions, Broadway Tower and a host of other varied and interesting places to visit. A short stroll will take you to beautiful Mill Dene Gardens, literally around the corner from the cottage well known for their peace, tranquillity and interesting features - open to the public seasonally.

Garden furniture.  One well behaved dog welcome @ £20 per week, but must not be left on own in cottage please and kept strictly under control in the grounds.
No smoking.  Private parking for 2 cars.

Regret this property is not ideal for young children due to spiral staircase and galleried landing, but over 8 year olds welcome.
