Westview is a cosy little Victorian Cotswold stone cottage – one of a pair, tucked away in a quiet lane yards from the quaint High Street of this attractive village. A short stroll away from the cottage is the coffee shop and one of two village pubs serving a range of meals.

Ideal for a short break or as a base for exploring the Cotswold area, the cottage has much character with exposed timbers, elm floor boards and staircases (young children will need supervision.) The front door opens into an attractive sitting room ideal as a haven to enjoy a quiet read. There are two bedrooms, with the double having lovely views across the Dovedale Valley and beyond. The lower ground floor comprises a dining area and kitchen, a very cosy room with a pleasant conservatory leading off from the kitchen diner giving an extra space to sit and relax with a glass of wine on a summers evening. The rear garden is enclosed with shrubs and small lawn – garden furniture provided.

Delightful walks abound and can start from your doorstep with strolls around the village itself or for several miles leading through beautiful countryside to neighbouring villages. Garden lovers may like to visit Mill Dene Gardens, known as a sensory garden in the village with mill stream, pond and its ducks and moorhens giving particular interest; less than two miles away is award winning Bourton House Gardens - opening times vary for both please check. Blockley, full of history, is known for its valley situation, mill stream and splendid woods giving a feeling of being hidden away and makes a super place to relax and enjoy a break in a true Cotswold village.

Accommodation

Over three floors- Front door opening into Ground floor level sitting room; bathroom (with narrower than usual bath with shower over).

Lower Ground floor (garden level) – kitchen diner, conservatory. 1st floor - twin bedroom; double bedroom with standard size bed. Outside is enclosed garden with garden store & garden furniture. Parking is by the side of lane at the front of the cottage.

Services

'Living Flame' gas fires in both sitting room and kitchen / diner. Linen, towels, gas central heating & electricity included. Colour TV/DVD; radio/CD player; electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washer/drier; toaster, hairdryer.

Telephone for incoming and emergency outgoing only.

One small well behaved dog by arrangement with agent @ £20 per week.
