Moreton in Marsh
Situated at the meeting place of the Roman Fosse Way (modern A429)
and the old road to London (A44) Moreton-in-Marsh became a popular
coaching stop in the 17th & 18th Centuries. The 'Four Shires
Stone' on the outskirts of the town marks the old county boundaries
of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire.
The very popular Market Day is on Tuesday and over 200 stalls are
set up in the centre of the town.

Chastleton House - 2½ miles, Woodstock - Blenheim Palace
- 22 miles. Stow on the Wold - 5 miles, Chipping Campden - 6 miles,

Moreton-in-Marsh is an excellent shopping centre with many hotels,
pubs and restaurants. Rail station in the town (London - Paddington
hourly for most of the year).
